Texas's 22nd congressional district, an open seat following the retirement of longtime Republican incumbent Troy Nehls, features Republican nominee Trever Nehls—his identical twin brother—who secured the GOP nomination in a landslide during the March 2026 primary. The district's established Republican lean, reflected in consistent double-digit margins for GOP candidates in recent cycles and strong performance in presidential voting, underpins trader consensus favoring the Republican outcome. Democratic nominee Marquette Greene-Scott advanced from her party's primary but faces structural challenges in this Houston-area suburban district. With the November 3, 2026, general election approaching, the wide pricing gap aligns with the seat's partisan voting index and limited recent competitive indicators. Late developments such as a significant national partisan swing, candidate-specific issues, or unusually high Democratic turnout in suburban precincts represent the primary pathways that could narrow the margin.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
