**Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI), founded by Ilya Sutskever in 2024, maintains its "straight-shot" approach of releasing nothing until achieving safe superintelligence, resulting in zero public models, APIs, papers, or benchmarks as of early September 2026.** The primary driver of current trader sentiment is the unconfirmed August 2026 release rumor from investor Gavin Baker, which briefly elevated expectations for an imminent public model but faded without confirmation or action after the month passed. SSI's July 2026 long-term NVIDIA partnership, including a reported $5 billion investment and order-of-magnitude compute expansion via the Vera Rubin platform, signals accelerated training but aligns with the lab's opaque posture rather than a near-term product launch. Competitive releases from labs like OpenAI (GPT-6 Astra in September) highlight the contrast with SSI's timeline, while any official SSI update, credible training-run reporting, or policy shift would serve as the key catalyst for odds movement.

A qualifying model must be an AI model released by SSI or associated with SSI and confirmed as such by SSI or by a consensus of credible reporting.
For this market to resolve to "Yes," a qualifying model must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice.
The release must be either clearly defined and publicly announced by SSI as being accessible to the general public or otherwise made publicly accessible and explicitly labeled within the company’s official website. Labeling errors, placeholder text, or version names displayed on the website that do not correspond to a model that is actually accessible to the general public will not qualify.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from SSI; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
