Latest forecast models from sources including the National Weather Service project a high near 80°F in New York City today under partly cloudy skies and northerly flow that limits warming after recent days above 84°F. This consensus, with light winds and minimal afternoon heating potential, positions the 80-81°F bin as the dominant outcome among traders. Historical September 5 averages near 80°F further reinforce the market-implied odds, while the low probabilities for 82°F+ reflect the absence of stronger southerly advection or clear-sky amplification in current guidance. Updated model runs or real-time observations could still shift resolution within the narrow range.
