Recent National Weather Service forecasts and a building heat dome have positioned Chicago for highs near 90–93°F on September 1, driving the 90–91°F bin to a 42.5% market share. Southwest flow, dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s, and partly cloudy skies with only a slight storm chance support hot, humid conditions that feel more like mid-July than early September. Ensemble guidance shows modest spread around this range, with 88–89°F and 92–93°F bins capturing the next-highest probabilities at 26% and 20.5%. Updated model runs and any shift in steering winds or moisture could quickly adjust these implied odds ahead of the holiday weekend.
