Republican incumbent Andy Harris secured his party's nomination in the June 2026 primary and enters the November general election with a substantial structural advantage in Maryland's 1st congressional district. The Eastern Shore district has consistently supported Republican candidates in recent cycles, including Harris's 59.4% victory in 2024, due to its rural and suburban voter base. Democratic nominee Dan Schwartz faces the challenge of mobilizing sufficient turnout in a district where registered Republicans hold a meaningful edge. With the general election three months away and no major late-cycle disruptions reported, trader consensus reflects the district's established partisan lean and the incumbent's established path to reelection.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
