Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and major models point to overnight lows in the upper 70s for Houston on September 2, driven by high humidity, southerly flow, and persistent cloud cover that limits radiational cooling. Scattered showers and thunderstorms, tied to Gulf moisture, could further moderate temperature drops depending on their timing and coverage. This aligns with late-summer climatology where average lows hover near 75°F, yet the lack of a strong cold front keeps readings elevated. The near-even market odds across 74–85°F bins reflect model spread on exact minimums, with traders weighing precipitation impacts and wind patterns that could tip the low a few degrees either way before resolution.
