Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and private models converge on a high near 100°F for Austin on September 13, driven by a persistent ridge of high pressure maintaining hot, humid southerly flow with partly to mostly sunny skies. Heat indices are expected to reach 105–107°F amid dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s, consistent with late-summer climatology but elevated by the current heat dome. Consensus across sources places the most likely official high (typically measured at Camp Mabry or Bergstrom Airport) in the 98–101°F range, supporting the market’s heavy weighting on those bins while leaving limited room for modest deviations from afternoon mixing or minor cloud cover.
