Forecast models from sources including the GFS consistently project a high near 98–99°F for Austin on September 14 under partly cloudy skies, southerly winds of 5–10 mph, and minimal precipitation chances. This setup favors strong daytime heating amid humid conditions typical of late summer in central Texas, where the September average high stands at 91.4°F and the record is 101°F. Trader consensus, with the strongest implied probabilities on the 98–99°F and 100–101°F brackets, aligns with this guidance while accounting for minor model spread and the potential for slight deviations in peak afternoon readings. Official National Weather Service observations at Austin-Bergstrom will determine the exact maximum once the day concludes.
