Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and major models converge on a Monday high of 92–94°F for Houston, driven by a warm, humid air mass with southeasterly flow and sufficient daytime heating for isolated afternoon thunderstorms. This setup favors 92–93°F as the most probable maximum, as convection may limit further warming while recent observations show persistent mid-90s readings. The 40% storm chance introduces modest downside risk for 90–91°F if coverage increases, while drier conditions could push toward 94–95°F. Above-normal September temperatures and typical late-summer humidity support the market’s clustering around the low-to-mid 90s ahead of the daily high resolution.
