Recent forecasts for the overnight minimum in Los Angeles on September 5 center in the low-to-mid 60s°F, aligning with the historical average low of 64.5°F and recent observations near 64–67°F at LAX. Trader sentiment remains split because marine-layer stratus and variable cloud cover create uncertainty in radiational cooling rates; clearer skies could allow temperatures to dip toward 58–60°F or below, while increased humidity and clouds limit the drop. Model runs differ on the timing and extent of overnight cloud increases ahead of a slight shower chance, producing closely matched implied probabilities across the 55–65°F bins. Official NWS guidance and station data through the evening will refine the final minimum before resolution.
