National Weather Service forecasts and supporting model guidance for September 19 point to a high temperature in the mid to upper 70s under partly to mostly sunny skies, with morning low clouds or fog giving way to southwest winds around 10-15 mph. This marine-influenced pattern aligns with the September climatological average high of 76°F near downtown Los Angeles and explains the market’s strong weighting toward the 76-77°F and 78-79°F bins. Recent observations show no developing heat ridge or offshore flow that would push readings higher, while model consensus on timing of clearing and wind strength keeps the probability of extremes low. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon observations on the 18th will refine the exact maximum before resolution.
