**Trader sentiment for the Dallas high temperature on September 17, 2026, centers on 98–99°F as the most probable outcome (60.5% implied probability), followed by 96–97°F (27.5%), reflecting strong consensus around upper-90s readings with modest downside risk.** National Weather Service and multiple model runs issued the prior evening forecast a mostly sunny, hot day with a high near 100°F under light southeast winds, high dew points in the upper 60s, and heat indices reaching 106°F. Persistent high pressure, clear skies, and minimal mixing support strong daytime heating consistent with late-summer conditions in north Texas, where September averages are lower but heat waves can push peaks into the upper 90s or low 100s. The market’s emphasis on 98–99°F rather than 100°F+ likely incorporates slight model cooling or station-specific timing of the daily maximum, common in high-resolution verification against official observations at DFW or Love Field. No incoming front, increased cloud cover, or precipitation is expected to suppress temperatures, keeping the distribution tightly clustered in the 96–101°F range and rendering sub-94°F or 102°F+ outcomes highly improbable based on current guidance.
