Recent Zillow data place the San Francisco metro typical home value at $1,136,810 through July 2026, up just 1.2% year-over-year and 0.3% month-over-month, positioning the <$1.176 million outcome as the clear market favorite. Median sale prices near $1.175 million reflect transaction activity rather than the smoothed index measure likely used for resolution, while tight inventory and 17-day average days on market have supported modest price stability without strong upward momentum. With September 30 only weeks away and no major policy shifts or economic releases expected to alter housing demand materially in the interim, trader consensus reflects the limited scope for the index to breach the key threshold before the observation date.
