Moderating North Sea breezes, residual cloud cover from passing Atlantic fronts, and limited daytime heating under mixed sun and showers are the key variables keeping the peak from climbing higher. Historical late-August climatology averages 21–22°C, but recent model runs show slightly above-normal 850 hPa temperatures offset by higher boundary-layer moisture that caps surface warming. Minor shifts in frontal timing or insolation could easily differentiate 23°C from 25°C, leaving traders focused on the next high-resolution model updates for resolution clarity.
