Recent National Weather Service and private forecasts for Austin on August 30, 2026, converge on a high near 99°F under sunny skies, light south winds, and minimal cloud cover, supporting the market’s heavy weighting toward 98-99°F. These conditions reflect persistent high pressure and seasonal late-summer heating, with afternoon peaks typically occurring between 3-6 p.m. local time. Models show limited spread, though slight upward revisions in some guidance allow a secondary chance of 100-101°F if insolation or boundary-layer mixing exceeds expectations. Historical averages for the date sit near 95°F, but recent years have frequently exceeded 100°F, aligning trader consensus with the current stable, hot pattern while assigning low probability to cooler or extreme outliers.
