The dominant market positioning on a 78-79°F low for Dallas on September 4 stems from the official National Weather Service observation of a 77°F minimum at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport around 2 AM CDT, part of a day with a 100°F high and no precipitation. This outcome aligned with persistent southerly flow and above-normal warmth that kept overnight temperatures several degrees above the 1991-2020 climatological average low of 74°F. Official data from the National Weather Service and station records leave little room for revision, though minor discrepancies across reporting sites could theoretically shift the exact bin if a different station's reading were used for resolution.
