This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Benito Juárez International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 23 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=mmmx To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Mexico City's high elevation of roughly 2,240 meters keeps daytime maxima moderate even in August, when the rainy season typically brings afternoon cloud cover and showers that suppress solar heating. Current forecasts point to highs near 19–23 °C, with traders assigning the highest implied probabilities to 20–22 °C because models show persistent overcast skies and scattered precipitation on the 23rd rather than clear conditions that would allow temperatures to reach the seasonal 24 °C average. Key differentiating factors include the exact timing and intensity of rain, which can drop highs by 2–3 °C, versus any breaks in cloud cover that would permit modest warming. Updated National Meteorological Service observations and model runs through the afternoon will determine the final recorded maximum.
