Forecasts from the National Weather Service and numerical models indicate a high near 78–80°F at Los Angeles International Airport on September 13, 2026, supported by a strengthening marine layer that produces morning low clouds and fog before southwest winds promote partial afternoon clearing. This setup aligns with the market’s heaviest weighting on the 78–79°F bin, reflecting typical early-September coastal moderation after a recent warm spell that pushed prior daily maxima above 90°F. Ensemble guidance shows limited spread, with most solutions clustered in the upper 70s to low 80s and only modest upside risk if clearing occurs earlier than expected; traders appear to be pricing the historical September average high of roughly 76°F against the current pattern’s slight warm bias.
