Recent forecast models from sources including the Met Office and regional meteorological services point to a highest temperature of 36–37°C in Jeddah on September 8, driven by persistent high-pressure conditions and warm Red Sea surface waters that sustain elevated humidity and limit daytime cooling. Early September climatology shows typical daily maxima around 35–37°C with minimal rainfall expected, aligning with the market's heavy weighting toward those outcomes. Scattered cloud or isolated thunderstorms noted in some runs introduce minor uncertainty that could cap or slightly elevate readings, while no major synoptic shifts appear imminent before resolution. Traders appear to discount outlier warmer scenarios given the stable steering patterns and lack of heatwave indicators in latest guidance.
