The closely matched probabilities across seat ranges for Union Centriste reflect substantial uncertainty ahead of the September 2026 partial Senate renewal, which places roughly 30 of its current 59 seats in contention. The indirect electoral system, involving votes by mayors and local councillors following the March 2026 municipal elections, creates offsetting risks of gains and losses across departments. UC's alignment with Les Républicains in the centre-right majority and its stated goal of stability further contribute to the tight distribution, as modest shifts in local alliances or turnout among centrist-leaning voters could alter the final tally. Separation in trader sentiment may emerge from clearer post-municipal trends in key battleground departments or last-minute coalition adjustments before voting.
