The September 6, 2026, Sachsen-Anhalt Landtag election produced provisional results showing the SPD at 9.3 percent and the Greens at 8.9 percent, a margin confirmed across nearly all districts with turnout near 78 percent. This outcome, following weeks of polling that consistently placed both parties well behind the AfD and CDU while tracking their narrow competition, drove trader consensus to near-certainty once ballots closed. Final certification scheduled for September 22 could theoretically alter the ranking through administrative adjustments, though the 0.4-point gap and high vote volume make reversal improbable. No other scheduled events or legal challenges within the resolution window appear positioned to intervene.

This market will resolve to “Grüne” if Grüne wins more valid second votes (Zweitstimme) than SPD in the specified election.
