Recent forecast models and observational data from Taiwan's Central Weather Administration point to a daily maximum of 31°C in Taipei on September 5, driven by daytime heating under variable cloud cover and scattered showers that have not fully suppressed temperatures. September climatology shows mean highs near 31.5°C, providing a strong baseline that aligns with current model runs showing peaks in the low 30s Celsius before evening cooling. Widespread trader consensus at 100% for this outcome reflects real-time skin-in-the-game assessment of limited downside risk from additional precipitation. Stronger convective storms or earlier widespread cloud buildup could realistically hold the high below this threshold, though latest guidance indicates such suppression remains unlikely before resolution.
