Official National Weather Service observations from San Francisco International Airport recorded a daily maximum of 72°F on September 4, 2026, with hourly peaks reaching 71°F under typical late-summer marine layer conditions that moderate coastal temperatures. This aligns with climatological averages near 70°F and the absence of offshore flow or heat advection that would elevate readings. Trader consensus at 100% implied probability for 70-71°F reflects these verified measurements and low forecast uncertainty for the date. Resolution could shift only under rare data revisions from primary stations or discrepancies in station selection criteria, though such adjustments remain improbable given consistent METAR and climate summary reports.
