Recent forecasts from global and regional models, aligned with Pakistan Meteorological Department guidance, position Karachi’s August 15 maximum near 31–33 °C, supporting the market’s concentration of implied probability on those outcomes. Mid-August climatology under Arabian Sea monsoon influence features persistent humidity, onshore sea breezes, and variable cloud cover or isolated thunderstorms that typically suppress daytime peaks and prevent extremes above 34 °C. Current observations show overcast skies and temperatures around 29–30 °C, with no major shifts in steering patterns or moisture expected before resolution. Traders appear to weigh this stable moderation against the narrow chance of clearer skies allowing a brief spike to 33 °C.
