**Current National Weather Service and private forecast models converge on a sunny, hot day for Dallas on September 14 with highs near 100 °F under south-southwest winds of 10-15 mph and minimal cloud cover.** This setup favors strong daytime heating as a high-pressure ridge maintains clear skies, allowing near-maximum solar insolation while southerly flow advects warm, moist air from the Gulf. Dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s will support heat indices above 105 °F but have limited direct impact on the dry-bulb maximum. The tight market split between 98-99 °F and 100-101 °F reflects minor model-to-model differences in peak mixing depth and exact wind timing rather than any major synoptic shift. Historical September 14 highs average 90 °F with a record of 102 °F, so the current pattern sits well above normal yet below the all-time ceiling. Updated afternoon model runs and the official NWS forecast discussion tomorrow morning represent the final data points before observations settle the market.
