Persistent high pressure and subsidence warming sustain extreme heat across North Texas, with National Weather Service guidance targeting a Wednesday high near 104°F under mostly sunny skies and southwest winds. Recent model runs show minor spread from potential afternoon cloud build-up or a weak frontal boundary, which could cap temperatures in the low 100s or allow brief spikes above 105°F depending on mixing depth and dew points. Traders weigh historical August extremes—such as 109°F records—against the slight cooling trend signaled after consecutive days above 105°F, leaving the 102–107°F bins evenly balanced as new model guidance and surface observations arrive.
