This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 2 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zhhh If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Recent cooling from northerly winds and monsoon influences after August's extreme heat positions 28–31°C as the most likely range for Wuhan's September 2 high.** Following sustained highs of 36–42°C in late August, official Wuhan Meteorological Station guidance and multiple forecast models show a shift to northerly flows (3–5 Beaufort, gusts to 6–7) combined with a monsoon trough/typhoon peripheral influence. This brings scattered light-to-moderate rain or showers on September 2, with expected highs of 27–29°C and lows near 21–23°C. Model consensus across sources clusters around 28–29°C, reflecting suppressed daytime warming from cloud cover, precipitation, and advection of cooler air. Traders assign the highest probabilities to 30°C (37.5%), 29°C (23%), and 31°C (21%) because small differences in exact timing of rain, wind strength, or observational micro-climate effects can easily shift the official maximum within this narrow band. Lower odds on 32°C+ or sub-28°C outcomes reflect the low likelihood of either renewed heat or stronger-than-forecast cooling before the market resolves. Updated model runs and any last-minute precipitation adjustments from the China Meteorological Administration will be the key near-term drivers.
