**Forecast consensus from the National Weather Service and multiple models centers on a high of 80–82°F at LaGuardia Airport on September 5, 2026, positioning the 80–81°F bin as the clear market leader at 66.5% implied probability.** A northerly wind shift following recent warmer, more humid conditions has introduced drier, cooler air, with light north-northwest winds of 5–10 mph and mostly sunny skies limiting afternoon heating. Official NWS point forecasts issued early on the 5th call for 81°F at LaGuardia and Central Park and 82°F at Kennedy, while ensemble guidance clusters in the upper 70s to low 80s. This aligns closely with early-September climatological normals near 80°F and reflects the cooling trend after higher readings the prior day. The secondary 78–79°F (20.5%) and 82–83°F (8.5%) outcomes capture minor model spread on peak mixing and boundary-layer details, while probabilities drop sharply outside this narrow range. With resolution imminent and stable conditions expected, trader sentiment remains anchored to the official forecast range.
