Clear skies and moderate southeasterly winds under a stable high-pressure ridge are driving Cape Town’s peak temperature toward 23–24 °C today, aligning with the market’s heaviest weighting on 24 °C (59 %). Multiple forecast models show afternoon maxima of 21–24 °C (roughly 70–75 °F) with negligible cloud cover and dry air, consistent with spring climatology yet slightly above the September average high near 18–20 °C. Current surface observations confirm rapid morning warming and no frontal interference, limiting upside risk above 25 °C or downside below 23 °C. Traders appear to be pricing in the narrow, well-supported forecast window ahead of final official readings.
