Recent forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models indicate Houston will likely see a high near 94–95°F on September 20 under sunny skies with light southeast winds and high humidity from Gulf moisture. This aligns with trader emphasis on the closely matched 94–95°F and 92–93°F outcomes. Above-average warmth stems from persistent high pressure promoting subsidence and clear conditions, with minimal cloud cover or precipitation expected. Heat indices could reach 105°F, though dry air advection earlier in the weekend may slightly moderate peak readings. Model consensus shows limited spread, but minor differences in boundary-layer mixing or exact steering could shift the daily maximum by 1–2°F. Historical September 20 highs average 88.5°F, underscoring the current anomaly.
