**Angie Nixon holds a commanding lead in trader pricing for the Broward County portion of Florida’s 2026 U.S. Senate special election because the county’s large Democratic electorate and her primary performance there point to a decisive general-election win.** Nixon defeated Alex Vindman in the August 18 Democratic primary by 12 points statewide, running especially strong in urban South Florida counties including Broward, where she mobilized younger voters, Black voters, and progressives with a platform centered on affordability measures such as Medicare for All and a national rent freeze. Broward’s consistent Democratic tilt in recent cycles, combined with Nixon’s grassroots organizing edge in populous urban areas, has produced the current market consensus. Ashley Moody, the Republican incumbent appointed in 2025, remains the statewide favorite according to polling aggregates and forecasts, but her support is concentrated outside South Florida’s Democratic strongholds. A late shift in turnout, an unforeseen scandal, or a major national event altering voter priorities could still affect county-level margins, though no such developments have emerged in the past month.
