Forecast consensus from meteorological models points to a daily maximum of 29°C in Shanghai on September 18, 2026, under mostly cloudy skies with northeast winds around 8 mph and moderate humidity near 70%. Official guidance from sources such as the Met Office and regional forecasts consistently projects this peak, reflecting stable late-summer conditions without significant warm advection or clear-sky heating that could push readings to 30°C or higher. Current observations tracking toward the upper 20s further reinforce trader positioning on the 29°C outcome. Minor model spread or localized variations could still shift the exact high by 1°C, though probabilities of extremes remain low given the limited diurnal range and steady steering flow.
