Recent forecast model consensus from the Met Office and ECMWF indicates a mild westerly flow over southern England on September 18, supporting a daily maximum temperature near 20°C under partly cloudy skies with limited convective activity. This aligns with the market's leading 54% implied probability for 20°C and 32% for 19°C, as current guidance shows highs stabilizing around 18–20°C without significant warm advection or clear-sky radiative heating. Recent model runs have shown little shift in the 48-hour outlook, though minor variations in cloud cover or shower timing could adjust the peak by 1°C. Traders appear to weigh the narrow historical September range and stable synoptic pattern against the short lead time before resolution.
