Current National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a typical late-September marine layer influence over San Francisco, with onshore westerly flow limiting daytime heating and supporting a forecast high near 67–68°F for September 19. This aligns with the market’s heaviest positioning on the 70–71°F bin, followed by 72–73°F, as traders weigh slight model spread and the chance of brief clearing that could push readings a degree or two higher than the base forecast. Historical September 19 averages near 71°F provide context, yet persistent cloud cover and sea-breeze timing favor the lower end of the distribution over more extreme outcomes. Updated model runs and afternoon observations will refine probabilities ahead of market resolution.
