Traders assign the highest implied probabilities to 31–33°C for Lucknow’s maximum temperature on September 19 because recent India Meteorological Department guidance and ensemble models point to partly cloudy skies with a chance of afternoon thundershowers that would cap solar heating. High humidity persisting from the retreating southwest monsoon, combined with light winds, favors scattered cloud cover that reduces peak insolation compared with clearer recent days when readings reached 34–35°C. Convective development timing and exact cloud thickness remain the key variables that could shift the official station reading (Lucknow airport) by 1–2°C. Updated IMD nowcasts and afternoon model runs will provide the final signals before resolution.
