The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent METMalaysia forecasts and ensemble models indicate a daily minimum near 24°C for Kuala Lumpur on September 20, amid strengthening El Niño conditions that favor above-average regional temperatures and reduced rainfall through the southwest monsoon transition. Thunderstorm activity and haze noted in official outlooks can moderate nighttime radiative cooling, while urban heat island effects and high humidity typically compress the diurnal range to 8–10°C. Trader consensus appears split between these short-term model runs and longer-term El Niño projections for warmer anomalies, with limited model spread on steering patterns or MJO influences expected in the next 48 hours.
