Recent forecast guidance from regional models and the China Meteorological Administration indicates Shanghai's September 8 high will likely peak near 29–30 °C under northerly flow, partly cloudy skies, and a chance of light rain or showers that could cap afternoon warming. Seasonal norms for early September place typical maxima around 30 °C, and current conditions show no strong subtropical ridge or heat advection to push readings higher. Ensemble spreads remain modest, with minor differences in cloud timing or precipitation timing creating the narrow gap between the two leading outcomes; traders appear to weigh these variables heavily given the market's tight distribution. Updated model runs and official briefings over the next 48 hours will refine the exact threshold.
