Current National Weather Service and model guidance for Houston points to a minimum temperature on September 19 in the mid- to upper 70s under clear skies and light southeast winds. High dew points near 70°F limit nocturnal radiative cooling, while the absence of clouds or precipitation allows modest temperature drops after sunset. This setup produces a narrow forecast range centered on 75–79°F, aligning with the closely matched market probabilities for 72–77°F outcomes. Minor variations in local wind or boundary-layer moisture could shift the exact low by a degree or two before official observations finalize the day’s minimum.
