Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Houston on September 6 points to a high near 90–93 °F under partly to mostly sunny skies with a 40–50 % chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms. This pattern, typical for early September in southeast Texas, features a warm, humid Gulf airmass with light steering winds that limit widespread cooling while allowing localized convective activity to briefly suppress peak readings. The historical climatological average high sits at 91 °F, and current ensemble spreads remain narrow around this value with no strong frontal passages or tropical influences expected. Trader consensus reflected in the leading 90–91 °F (36.5 %) and 92–93 °F (26.5 %) bins aligns closely with this forecast envelope and the modest uncertainty from storm timing. Updated model runs tomorrow morning will provide the final refinement ahead of market resolution.
