**Israeli forces have maintained positions beyond the Litani River in southern Lebanon under a June 2026 U.S.-brokered framework agreement that ties any phased redeployment to verifiable Hezbollah disarmament and Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) control.** The deal established two limited “pilot zones” (one north and one south of the river) for initial Israeli pullbacks, but implementation has stalled amid disputes over sequencing, with Israeli officials stating no further withdrawals will occur until threats are neutralized. As of early September 2026, Israel has consolidated its security zone, conducted strikes in response to Hezbollah activity, and rejected fixed timelines, while Hezbollah has rejected the framework. Trader consensus on withdrawal timelines therefore reflects the conditions-based nature of the agreement, ongoing low-level clashes, and the absence of LAF deployment or disarmament progress.

For this market to resolve to "Yes" it is sufficient that Israel announces its ground forces have withdrawn from all Lebanese territory beyond the Litani River, regardless of if some specified territory remains under their control or ground incursions by Israeli forces continue. However, an announcement of a planned or future withdrawal will not suffice.
The primary resolution source for this market will be information from the Israeli government, however an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting confirming that Israel has withdrawn may also be used.
