Forecast models from sources including the GFS and local agencies point to a high of 74–76°F in New York City on September 6, 2026, under northeasterly flow that advects cooler, drier air behind a frontal passage. This setup favors modest daytime heating, with partly to mostly sunny skies and only isolated light drizzle possible in some guidance, keeping maximum temperatures below the late-summer climatological average of roughly 79–80°F. Recent runs show tight clustering around the mid-70s, with minor spread arising from exact cloud cover and boundary-layer mixing. Traders have concentrated probability on the 76–77°F and 74–75°F bins, reflecting the narrow range of official guidance and the proximity to resolution on the following day. Updated National Weather Service forecasts and afternoon model cycles will provide the final inputs for market resolution.
