Trader consensus heavily favors a 33°C high for Singapore on September 5, reflecting official forecasts from sources like the Met Office and local models showing afternoon peaks near 32–33°C under prevailing southwest monsoon conditions with southeasterly winds and limited cloud cover. This aligns with September climatology, where the long-term average daily maximum at Changi is 31.6°C, and recent fortnightly outlooks note typical maxima of 33–34°C absent strong convective activity. Low probabilities for 34°C or higher stem from stable steering patterns and modest humidity that cap further warming. A rapid shift in local observations, such as clearer skies or a revised model run pushing peaks above 34°C before resolution, could alter the outcome, though current data and timing make significant deviations unlikely.
