**Republican incumbent Tim Moore holds a strong structural edge in North Carolina’s 14th congressional district ahead of the November 2026 general election.** The seat carries an R+8 Cook Partisan Voting Index following 2025 redistricting that shifted boundaries away from Democratic-leaning portions of Mecklenburg County toward more reliably Republican areas in the western Piedmont and foothills, including Gaston, Cleveland, and Lincoln counties. Moore, the former long-serving North Carolina House speaker first elected to Congress in 2024, defeated a primary challenger by a wide margin and faces Democratic nominee Lakesha Womack. Available polling and nonpartisan ratings from Cook, Sabato’s Crystal Ball, and Inside Elections classify the race as Solid or Safe Republican, reflecting the district’s partisan composition and limited competitive dynamics. Trader consensus aligns with this assessment of a low-probability path for Democrats absent major shifts.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
