Incumbent Republican Pat Harrigan secured his party's nomination with 88% in the March primary and enters the November general election as the clear favorite in North Carolina's 10th congressional district. Forecasters rate the seat Solid or Safe Republican, reflecting its R+9 Cook Partisan Voting Index and Harrigan's 2024 victory margin of 57.5%. Democratic nominee Ashley Bell advanced from a fragmented primary but trails in early polling and fundraising. Trader consensus aligns with these structural factors, including the district's consistent Republican performance and absence of recent competitive developments that would narrow the gap. Scenarios that could realistically shift odds include a broad national Democratic wave increasing turnout, a late-breaking scandal or health event affecting the incumbent, or sustained polling gains by Bell that exceed historical norms for the seat.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
