**Incumbent Republican Rich McCormick faces a Democratic nominee in Georgia’s 7th congressional district, a seat rated Solid Republican with an R+11 partisan voting index.** McCormick advanced unopposed through the May 19, 2026 Republican primary, securing 100% of the vote. Democrats required a June 16 runoff after their May primary, with Tony Kozycki ultimately prevailing over Case Norton. Georgia election rules trigger a runoff only if no candidate exceeds 50% in the November 3 general election. The district’s established Republican lean, McCormick’s incumbency advantage, and the absence of competitive Republican opposition create a strong structural path for an outright majority. Trader consensus at 91% on an outright first-round winner reflects these baseline electoral fundamentals and the limited time remaining for major shifts before November. No late-breaking developments have altered the underlying dynamics since the primaries concluded.
