**Houthi forces have intensified missile, drone, and artillery strikes on southern Saudi Arabia in recent weeks amid renewed fighting in Yemen, but reports show no confirmed ground incursions across the border.** The Iran-backed group seized key Yemeni Red Sea positions including Mocha and Perim Island in early September 2026, strengthening leverage over the Bab al-Mandeb Strait while declaring a maritime blockade on Saudi shipping. Attacks have targeted Saudi energy facilities, military sites such as the Sharurah base, and cities including Jizan, Najran, Abha, and Khamis Mushait, wounding civilians and prompting Riyadh to conduct airstrikes in Yemen and seek U.S. support. The 2022 Yemen ceasefire collapsed in July, with both sides exchanging cross-border fire, yet Saudi Arabia maintains robust border defenses and air superiority. Trader odds reflect the distinction between sustained asymmetric strikes and any sustained ground entry, which remains constrained by geography, Saudi military posture, and the Houthis’ primary focus on consolidating gains inside Yemen. Upcoming diplomatic or military responses from Riyadh or external actors could shift dynamics within the resolution window.

"Houthi military forces" refers to the military forces of the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah), including any armed force operating under its direction or on its behalf.
"Enter" means that the Houthi military forces, even temporarily, deliberately operate within any part of Saudi Arabia, other than as prisoners of war or as emissaries as described below. Bombardment, sabotage, naval presence offshore, or temporary disruption of activity will not qualify on their own. An announcement, threat, or claim of Houthi entry will not qualify without actual entry being established.
The entrance of Houthi emissaries for the purpose of negotiating an agreement or other diplomatic or commercial endeavors will not alone qualify.
In the event of genuine ambiguity, this market may remain open for three days after the specified date. If Houthi entry into Saudi Arabia is not established by the end of the third calendar day, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No".
The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting.
