Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for September 17, 2026, shows a typical early-fall marine layer over coastal Los Angeles, with morning low clouds and fog giving way to partial afternoon clearing and sea breezes. This setup supports highs mainly in the mid- to upper 70s at official stations such as LAX, consistent with climatological norms near 76°F for the date. Ensemble runs and short-range updates have held steady without signals of stronger offshore flow or warming that would push readings into the low 80s or above, keeping the 76-77°F bin as the market leader. Traders are weighting the narrow forecast spread and historical September variability, with resolution hinging on the final 24-hour NWS observations.
