**Official National Weather Service forecasts for September 17, 2026, call for mostly sunny skies and a high near 100°F in Dallas under a strong high-pressure ridge, with light southeast winds and minimal cloud cover promoting efficient daytime heating.** This setup aligns with climatological norms for mid-September in North Texas, where solar insolation remains high before seasonal cooling advances. Model consensus shows little deviation, keeping the 98-99°F bin as the market leader at 61.5% implied probability, while the 12% chance for 100-101°F reflects the possibility of slight exceedances if mixing or insolation peaks higher than expected. Low probabilities for 96°F or below stem from the absence of any cooling mechanisms such as increased moisture or frontal passages in the latest runs.
