Recent July CPI data at 0.5% year-over-year, below expectations amid persistent food deflation and soft domestic demand, has kept trader focus on whether August will show a modest rebound. Seasonal factors including higher fresh vegetable prices from summer heat, stabilizing pork costs, and stronger services consumption near the end of the school break support a move toward 0.7-0.9%, while weak overall consumption, ample pork supplies, and fading energy price effects cap upside. Core inflation near 0.9% and base effects from last year add to the balance, leaving the leading brackets closely matched as markets weigh these offsetting pressures ahead of the National Bureau of Statistics release.
