Recent National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts a peak temperature near 68–70°F for San Francisco on September 13, driven by persistent onshore westerly flow, marine-layer moderation, and upwelling-cooled Pacific waters that suppress inland heat advection. This aligns with the climatological average high of 70.8°F after a brief early-September heat spike that reached 94°F on the 9th before rapid cooling. Clear skies and breezy northwest winds are expected to limit afternoon warming, keeping the daily maximum below typical heat-wave thresholds while reducing chances of exceeding 72°F. Traders have priced the 70–71°F bin highest as the most probable outcome under these stable synoptic conditions, with new hourly observations and any late-day model adjustments likely to refine resolution by evening.
